Ranchero Chili Beer Bread Mix:
Additional Ingredients: 1 Bottle of Beer (room temp), 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese or Pepper Jack, 1/4 cup Green Chilies or Jalapenos (chopped) and 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter (melted).
Baking Instructions: Heat oven 375F. and grease a 9x5" loaf pan. In large mixing bowl add pkg contents (including any optional cheese/chilies). Add the beer and gently stir until the ingredients are just moistened. The batter will be thick and lumpy; avoid over mixing. Transfer the batter into prepared loaf pan and spread out evely. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the batter. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool the bread in the pan for at least 10 minutes before removing it to a wire rack to cool completely. This bread is excellent served warm alongside chili or soup.
